The cooperation between the SAAL FREI platform for improvisational art, the Produktionszentrum Tanz + Performance and the Institut Français brings dancers and musicians together with artists who use video and projection as real-time compositions and produced dance short films to open up a multifaceted artistic approach and dialogue between visual media, sound and live performance. 

To kick off the evening, a video work about dancer Selina Koch by French artist Lorraine Féline will be shown. The work was created during a guest residency in Stuttgart in 2021.

This will be followed by an instant composition with the video artist Alexander Schmidt, the musician Oliver Prechtl and the performers Martina Gunkel and Selina Koch. By bringing the camera close to the performers, Alexander Schmidt creates a tension between the greatly enlarged projection of details and the real bodies in the room. In contrast to this, video artist Anja Abele, musician Carsten Netz and performers Alexandra Mahnke and Lisa Thomas create a graphic-visual performance with mobile projection objects in the second part of the evening.

The event is a cooperation between Instant Act Stuttgart gUG, the Institut Français and the Produktionszentrum Tanz + Performance.
